In this video “What is SEO” I break down SEO technically and conceptually.
SEO means Search Engine Optimization. In other words it’s how to improve your website content so that your URL shows up on Google rankings.
Technical SEO
On the technical side, you need to tell search engines like Google that your website and articles answer the query you’re looking to satisfy. Remember, your audience goes to Google all the time with questions. Your website is the answer. That means you need to put the answer on your website in all the right places. Not sure where? I break it down in my FREE SEO Masterclass.
Big Picture SEO
On the conceptual side, SEO exists because it wants to determine what is the best answer to a search query. In other words it’s looking for quality. Think about it, Google wants to give you the best search result for your questions. It only wants to give you results that fully answer your question and was vetted by others to be the best. How does a computer know if your answer is the best? It scans for your keywords and it acknowledges that when you launched your content, people read it and loved it by staying on your site for a couple minutes. And even shared it! That’s called bulk activity.
