Do you hear that? The voice inside your head? Of course, you do. Painfully, you hear it all the time. Speaking to you, loud, cruel and clear. Every second of every minute of every day. The inner voice that devours your mind with wounding depressive lines.
But ask yourself, “Do Depressive Lines Lie?”
Depressive lines lie.
You should know
You live a life unworthy of real love
Don’t try to convince yourself that
You deserve love that doesn’t decay
Because with each and every day
You can’t love yourself in any real way
Why lie to yourself and say
True love resides wherever you stay
Don’t let a day past without reminding yourself that
You live as an unlovable person, a truth you simply cannot combat
So don’t you spend a night drifting away believing that
The ability to obtain real love accompanied your birth
Because no matter what happens on this Earth
Your life remains unworthy of love
And you hold no position to trust
That worthiness can be found within
You can feel it deep down in the depths of your soul
Whenever you sit still with the shadows of you conscious
Whether in a crowded room or all alone
Your thoughts will always lead you to contemplate
“Do my reality and depressive thoughts correlate?”
Read the poem backwards to uncover the true answer to your depressive mind’s question.
