We want you to be good. On the other hand, we can't help but feed into your bad drama. Of course the college atmosphere breeds naughty behavior and the media will always cover the incidents that stem from alcohol-induced hijinks. At the same time, we believe college students are changing the world every day. In good student/bad student, we give you the best of both:
College Porn Stars Sell Panties for Good Cause
Who would’ve guessed that prominent collegiate porn stars Belle Knox and Tasha Reign would be the good students this week?
But here they are, helping to raise money for Maggie’s Toronto Sex Workers’ Action Project, which is exactly what it sounds like.
In order to help Maggie’s raise money for sex workers across Canada, Knox sold six pairs of her underwear for $150 each and Reign auctioned off a dinner date with her in Los Angeles for $1,500.
These ladies used their, umm, assets to help their fellow sex workers in another country. Nice work.
UNC is Comically Bad at Educating Its Athletes
It’s no secret that the University of North Carolina lets its student athletes coast, but the claims made by former Tar Heel basketball star Rashad McCants take athlete favoritism to a new level.
McCants – who won a national title with UNC in 2004-05 – told ESPN’s Outside the Lines that not only did he take mostly “paper classes” that only required students to write one term paper without ever attending classes, but head coach Roy Williams knew all about this BS system.
He went on to say that tutors wrote his term papers for him and, in spring 2005, he made the dean’s list without ever attending any of his four classes.
So basically, McCants was part of an academic racket that allowed athletes to take classes specifically designed to keep them eligible for basketball. Whether they learned or not anything was clearly never a concern.
Way to set an example UNC.
