A shooter in Albuquerque killed five Sunday, including three children.
The victims included the suspect’s parents and three children, according to The Huffington Post.
The 15-year-old boy, whose name hasn’t been released, has been charged with two counts of murder and three counts of child abuse that resulted in death in regard to the incident, in which multiple weapons were used, including an assault rifle.
Each victim was shot multiple times, according to ABC news.
The boy allegedly planned on driving to a local Walmart after to shoot shoppers, according to USA Today.
Greg Griego, the boy’s 51-year-old father, was a well-respected former local pastor.
According to CNN, authorities have not found a motive for the killings yet. The boy is being charged as a juvenile for now.
Authorities are unsure who owned the weapons used, according to Huffington Post.
Another shooting occurred in San Francisco early Monday morning, which resulted in the death of one man and injuries to another.
Daniel Colon, 43, was shot dead and his cousin, Andrew Colon, 34, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
No arrests have been made yet.
These events happened just days after President Obama announced his new gun control plan.
