The end of the fall semester is upon us and that means two things…no school and holiday celebrations! How are you planning on celebrating this holiday season? Check out how crazy some students are planning on being and be sure to comment on the article and share your insane holiday plans with us:
“There’s a kid who I’ve been friends with for a long time, and his dad’s in a band. They are called High Voltage; they do all of the AC/DC songs and are pretty good. They’re playing at Rams Head Live on N.Y.E. and they’ve rented out a hotel in the city with shuttles running back and forth for people. So it’s basically going to be an all night long concert/party and then we’ll get in a taxi and crash back at the hotel. Should be a pretty sweet time.”

“Well, this year for Christmas I am planning to bake 20,000 cookies to give to family and friends. (I am currently at 7,250). My parents are dressing up as Santa and Mrs. Claus, my siblings and I as elves, and all eight of our dogs are dressed as reindeer so we can go caroling in our neighborhood. We went to Disney World wearing this so we could be in their Christmas parade filming that will premiere Christmas Day. They had us lined up down Main Street while they filmed the parade in pieces. Mario Lopez hosted it. The filming took about seven hours. One of my roommates was a dancer in the parade for Disney's Cars. There were live performances from Jennifer Hudson, Justin Bieber, and Cee Lo Green on the castle stage. And for New Year's [Eve] my friends and I are going out to House of Blues, picking 20 guys starting four hours before the ball drops and then eliminating a couple of guys each hour until there is only one left to do the obvious.”

“Iam going to Downtown Countdown DC for New Years [Eve]. The party has a five-hour open bar, food, three bands, four DJs, five comedians, dancing, and karaoke. One of the headlining bands is Third Eye Blind. My brother and my cousins have gone for the past couple of years and say that it is amazing. Now that I am 21, I'm excited to be able to go out and celebrate New Year's in DC with my family and high school friends!”

“Well my holidays are a little different than most people’s. I live on a dairy farm [in Manchester, MD] and the cows really haven't accepted Jesus as their lord and savior, so we have to do all the work for them regardless of it being Christmas – in fact we're pretty sure my one uncle has worked more than 11,000 days consecutively. That shows how little of an impact personal events have on the work. On Christmas Eve we go to one grandparent’s [house] because it’s too impractical to have two family gatherings in one day with all the work. On Christmas in the morning we wake up and milk, then we unwrap presents at my house, then I go to lunch with some very close family friends. Getting Chinese in the afternoon is a Christmas tradition we have. Then I come home and milk again and at night go to another family Christmas at my other grandparent’s [place].”

“After Christmas I'm heading out for Los Angeles, California on the 29th. From that point me and a couple of friends are road tripping it out to our hotel suite in Las Vegas. The night we get there we'll probably head out to Coyote Ugly and then the next day see a Cirque show and hit up a casino. For NYE one of my friends knows a couple bouncers at a club where we'll be. Apparently it's "the end of the world" party since its 2012. On the first day of the new year we were planning on recovering pool side and driving home that evening/next day depending on if we want to see a magic show or not.”
